Scleroderma Foundation National Patient Education Conference, Boston, July 30-August 1. Learn more.

Our Purpose

The PURPOSE of the Chapter is to help patients make contact with each other through Chapters, Newsletters, and Workshops;

To EDUCATE and INFORM the public about scleroderma, its meaning, and its consequences through a central base; to ENCOURAGE more awareness within the medical profession;

To PROMOTE medical research toward finding a cause and cure;

To RAISE research funds to help stamp out scleroderma.

About the Nevada Chapter

The current president of the Nevada Chapter is Barbara Dempsey. The Nevada Chapter started as a Support Group in 1995, and has evolved into a Chapter. We meet monthly to share our experiences with scleroderma, and listen to guest speakers.

We also participate in local health fairs, conduct and attend a yearly workshop, and of course, we try to raise awareness and have fundraising activities during the year.

Our group is very positive! We would love you and your family and friends to call and attend our meetings. To become a Nevada Chapter member requires a mere $25 donation. This tax-deductible gift goes a long way! Your gift:

  • Makes you a member of the Nevada Chapter;

  • Can make you a member of the National Scleroderma Foundation;

  • Gives you a subscription to the Scleroderma Foundation's national magazine, Scleroderma Voice; and

  • Helps pay the expenses of running the Chapter.

Physicians Lists

The Nevada Chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation has compiled lists of area physicians for your reference. The physicians on the list are licensed, and are either rheumatologists or M.D.'s with a special interest in rheumatology (internists). Also provided is a list of area dermatologists.

Disclaimer: The information in the Physicians List and Dermatologists List is provided as an information aid in your search for  a physician in the Las Vegas and surrounding area. It does not represent the Scleroderma Foundation's opinion as to the qualifications and competence of individual physicians.
