5k Ever: HUGE Success!
A big congratulations and thank-you to Mr. Joe Brennan, who,
along with his family and their foundation, The Help Fight
Scleroderma Foundation, organized the First Annual Greatest
5k Ever, a charity run to benefit our Chapter.
Held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 in Grand Rapids, it was
a HUGE success!
On a fabulous Fall morning 234 runners gathered at Riverside
Park to enjoy this competitive run on a USATF Certified Course.
Live music, hot breakfast buffet, post-race party, medal and
a cool New Balance long-sleeve technical shirt were all offered
to each registrant. The event raised approximately $18,000.
