Kerrie is an accomplished community leader who has a strong passion for our cause given her close connection to Barry Sanders, who lost his sister to scleroderma. Kerrie has been a friend to Barry and his family and is excited to be lending her leadership and talent to the Scleroderma Foundation MI Chapter to help and support the people who are affected by the disease.
Kerrie’s biographical data and accomplishments include:
- Graduate of Michigan State University with a Masters in advertising
- Coordinated sponsorships for the Olympic games in Atlanta and Sydney on behalf of Saturn Corporation
- 2nd runner up for Ms. Fitness World in 2000
- 15 years of on camera commercial and print experience
- 10 years of experience as a spokesperson for auto shows
- Biotech sales representative for a diagnostic contrast agent for cardiac testing
- Facilitator for Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
- Trained the Miss Michigan and Miss Teen Michigan candidates in exercise and diet
- Previous fitness consultant for Fox 2 news in Detroit
- Board member of the Pontiac Rescue Mission for battered women and children, alcohol and drug rehabilitation and job training and placement
- Previously worked on the Derrick Coleman Foundation and the Robert Porcher Cancer Relief Fund
- Assisting Girls Hope Boys Hope in establishing a junior board
- Ranked third in the Scleroderma Foundation Michigan Chapter’s 28th Annual Walk and Run’s 5k in Birmingham in 2007
- Ranked in the top 40 for the Race for the Cure in 2007
