EXCITING NEW GOALS:
WELCOME 3000 (OR MORE!) GUESTS AND RAISE $300,000 (OR MORE!) TO HELP THE PEOPLE WE SERVE AFFECTED BY SCLERODERMA. |
On the heels of our very successful 29th Annual Walk and Run in June 2008 welcoming 1800+ guests and raising an estimated $180,000, our Chapter is already hard at work planning to make next year's 30th Annual Walk and Run on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the World-Class Detroit Zoo even more extraordinary!
We have set exciting NEW GOALS for this walk that tie into our special 30th Anniversary year: Our goal is to welcome 3000 guests (or more!) and raise $300,000 (or more!) to support our important mission.
These are exciting and aggressive goals, which can be accomplished together with your support!
We will continue to be in touch with walk details and opportunities for you to be involved in our quest to make this our BIGGEST and BEST walk ever.
In the meantime, here are TWO EXCITING AND FUN activities you can do now to begin your walk participation and fundraising efforts:
1. Form a team with 30 people (or more!): With 30 being a special number for us for this walk, make plans with at least 30 of your friends, family members and everyone you know to be a part of your team. Registration will be available soon. Each team with 30 or more people will receive an exciting reward!
2. Raise $3,000 (or more!) in pledges: For every $3,000 you raise in pledges, you will receive exciting new rewards, which we will announce soon. New tips for raising $3,000 will be provided soon, too, which will give you an easy and fun step-by-step process that you can use now and in the next 10 months to raise these funds. Fundraising is fun! And, people who care about you and this cause that is important to you will want to help you reach your goal.
Ready to get started?! We hope so, and we can't wait to hear from you!
To get started on the two activities above, contact Janus Landrum, Executive Assistant, so that Janus may include your name on our mailing list for a Team Package and a Pledge-Raising Package, which will be available in early August 2008.
Together, we are going to shatter all past walk records and show people affected by scleroderma in Michigan how much we care about making our Chapter the best it can be for those who are suffering from scleroderma's life-altering effects.
Importantly, we are going to raise more funding than ever before allowing us to provide more funding to research efforts to help find the cure for scleroderma.
