2011 Highland Walk

Our 1st Annual Highland Indiana walk, "Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma" went great! We had a good show of about 65 walkers. It was a bit windy but sunny and beautiful. We had refreshments, free give-a-ways raffles, fruit bags and lunch. Joining us with booths were; Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, Bakery Of Love with baked goods, East Chicago Community Health Center and Kool Smiles (dental clinic). We had music by DJ Wiseguy, balloons for the kids and Rover The Dog who also started off the walk with a fun warm up.

Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We also got a chance to meet some great people and they were very happy that we had the walk.

We thank the Scleroderma Foundation, Ann Peterson for all her help and Janine Capon who also joined us. Of course all the walkers for coming out and for their support, and my husband and son for all of their support and help!  Hope to see everyone there next year!
