Higland Park Walk 2009
What a Fabulous Day and walk we had, Sunday June 28th in Highland Park. Great weather, over 600 walkers, dogs, kids, young and old, joined our efforts to raise money for the Scleroderma Foundation, Greater Chicago Chapter. The festivities included a moon walk for the kids, face painting and balloon designs.
The Chicago Sky's "Sky Guy" added to the excitement for the kids. Our raffle raised over $4000 thanks to our raffle chairwomen Jackie Andalman and Jodi Marion. Thanks to everyone who donated, and helped organize, wrap baskets, and sell raffle tickets!
A huge thank you to the Walk 2009 committee. Once again, Carol Goldman our chairwoman, helped to organize a fantastic event.
We could not have had the walk without our crew of volunteers, all 30 of them! You were all wonderful and deserve a round of applause!
Also, we wish to thank all of our walk sponsors who donated food, prizes, dollars and time!
