Sunday, June 22, Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk - Highland Park, Ill.

Registration 7:30 a.m.; Walk begins 9:00 a.m.

Sunday, June 22, 2008 is the date for our sixth annual “Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma” walk held in beautiful downtown Highland Park. The walk will begin and end at the downtown Highland Park Metra Station parking lot. Registration is $25, and can be done on-line at www.firstgiving.com/scleroderma-chicago, or by mail (watch for your brochure in the mail.) You may also register the morning of the walk beginning at 7:30 AM. The walk will begin at 9 AM. Chairwoman Carol Goldman and the fabulous walk committee are hard at work organizing, promoting and setting up the event.

Activities will include a moonwalk for the kids, a face painter and balloon designer, a wonderful raffle with many baskets, and other great items, costume characters and fabulous food. Everyone will have a chance to participate in a 1 or 3 mile walk, and then return to enjoy donated fruit, water, energy bars, Starbucks coffee and, of course, Carol’s Cookies!
