9th Annual Highland Park "Stepping out to Cure Scleroderma" Walk
Sunday June 26th, 2011 in Highland Park, IL. The Chicago chapter held our 9th Annual Stepping out to Cure, Scleroderma Walk. We were so lucky to have such great weather. Over 700 people participated in the fun walks on a beautiful course through Highland Park
This year was one of our biggest events with more food, more fun for the kids, great DJ music and a fantastic raffle. Face painting, a bounce house and awarding of the Largest Team Trophy rounded out the festivities.
Our Largest Team trophy went to TEAM Fleisher, with over 100 team members walking for scleroderma! Wow, what an effort!
We wish to thank the fantastic volunteers, the Dancin raffle volunteers, start volunteers, route volunteers, tee shirt volunteers, bike volunteers ,and Cookie marshals! You know who you are and you all did a great job! Registration volunteers deserve a huge thank you for working to process everyone.
We also wish to thank all of the teams who participated, all of the walkers and donors who gave to the Scleroderma Foundation , Chicago Chapter to make this event such a success.
Finally, thank you to our committee, who work so hard to put this event together every year. Chairwoman Carol Goldman, and Raffle Chair Jackie Andelman deserve a huge round of applause. Thank you to committee members:
