Suzanne Curtis
Sue taught vocal music in the Detroit and Oak Park public schools. While raising her four daughters, she became active in Hadassah where she held numerous positions on the Greater Detroit Chapter board, including president. From 1985 – 1991 she worked for Metropolitan Life as a Litigation and Appeals Analyst on the GM account and also sold life and health insurance and annuities. Ms. Curtis was the business manager of The Depository and Ladies Day Golf before she joined Senator Carl Levin’s staff as a fund raiser. Subsequently she worked for American ORT as the Executive Director and then as the business manager of ORT’s computer resource center. She was the Membership Chair of Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield, a docent at the Cranbrook Institute of Arts, a past president of the Michigan Scleroderma Foundation and the Jewish Ensemble Theatre, where she remains active on their board, and has run a film club for many years.
